MUD cafe opened April 2006
The creators Edi and Kelly Lojen thought the Bay needed a waterfront cafe
Discovered an unused boatshed in a perfect position
It has been very popular with locals and many visitors travelling from Brisbane and Sunshine Coast to soak up the relaxed atmoshere
MUD cafe is Child friendly with a kids activity area
and Dog friendly with water bowls, tie ups and puppy treats
We try to cook most food on the site growing fresh herbs in our backgarden
Edi is from Slovenia and adds a fantastic flavour to his cooking.
WHY MUD cafe
We chose the name for many reasons
Our passion for coffee and chocolate
both can be refered to as MUD
The beautiful and ever changing shoreline of Deception Bay
It is original and fun
